EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

 

• Studied Graphic Design at Capilno College in Vancouver, British Columbia

• Mentored and trained over 6000 young people in sailing, navigation and leadership skills through Young Life. Acquired three large sailboats for training with 6 day trips in British Columbia

• Started a Yacht Brokerage for sailboats, catamarans and inflatable boats

• Sailed over 60,000 miles and through the Panama Canal three times. 11,000 miles of the travel from Annapolis, MD to Gig Harbor, WA, was with our two children over a period of a year

• Owned a Tall ship Schooner, Amazing Grace, and created a charter business for National Tall Ship Events, as well as corporate team building events, Make a Wish Foundation, Wounded Warriors and Scouts.

• Created a Boutique Hotel from a run-down waterfront cottage and turned it into the best place to stay in the historic town of Gig Harbor, Washington.

• Responsible for all the promotion and marketing of the Inn.

• Served on the Gig Harbor Tourism Board and the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee. Our responsibility was to determine the most responsible and effective way to use tax dollars our hotel brought in for the community.
